Take a Look at the Upcoming Nissan Rogue Sport

January 19th, 2017 by

The Nissan Rogue Sport made its anticipated debut at the North American Auto Show. The Rogue lineup has proven itself to be a popular compact crossover SUV choice, as sales surpassed 40,400 units in December of 2016.  In fact, the Rogue is the top-selling Nissan model, surpassing the ever-popular Altima. Find out what’s in store for the upcoming Rogue Sport, and then come check out the current Rogue lineup at Tamaroff Nissan!

Sporty Design

The Rogue Sport boasts a unique appearance to distinguish it from the rest of the Rogue lineup. Expect a shorter wheelbase by 2.3 inches and shorter overall length by 12.1 inches. The compact shape makes it ideal for parallel parking anywhere, even in crowded Detroit parking lots.

Even though the Rogue is smaller, it still excels in cargo capacity. Fold the second row seat to free up to 61.1 cubic feet. An optional Divide-N-Hide Cargo System creates additional space to store items in the floor. The Rogue also has the option for an Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection for confident reversing.

Safety Features

You can also add the following Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield tech:

  • Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection automatically stops the vehicle when you need extra assistance. It also warns you about oncoming pedestrians you may not have noticed.
  • Intelligent Cruise Control is an advanced system that slows the vehicle to match traffic. Once traffic clears, the system picks back up to your pre-set speed.
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert works when you reverse the vehicle at slow speeds. It looks out for traffic behind the vehicle, and it sends you an alert.

Zippy Powertrain

The powertrain includes a 2.0L 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine with 141 hp. Plus, it has a Direct-Injection Gasoline system paired to an Xtronic transmission. Between its streamlined body style, peppy engine, and terrific features, the Nissan Rogue Sport is sure to offer a memorable drive.

Release Date

Are you already looking forward to experience the agile Rogue Sport? We don’t blame you! The Rogue Sport will go on sale spring 2017—that’s just around the corner! Drivers will be able to choose from S, SV, and SL trim levels.
